How do I get tickets for a Fort Sumter Tour?
Ticket offices are located at Liberty Square at Aquarium Wharf, 340 Concord St. in downtown Charleston, and at Patriots Point Maritime Museum, 40 Patriots Point Road in Mount Pleasant. Tours to Fort Sumter depart from both locations.
Is food available on the Fort Sumter Tour?
The boats are equipped with a snack bar and restrooms.
How long is the Fort Sumter Tour?
The tour is two hours and 15 minutes: a 35-minute narrated ride to Fort Sumter, one hour at Fort Sumter and then another 35-minute narrated return trip.
How long is the dinner cruise and from where does it depart?
The Spirit of Carolina departs from Patriots Point Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant. Boarding for the dinner cruise begins at 6:30 p.m., departs at 7 p.m. and returns at 10 p.m.
What kind of food is served on the dinner cruise?
The Spirit of Carolina dinner cruise offers soup, salad and a selection of entrée choices, usually fresh catch, chicken, crab cakes, shrimp and grits and beef tenderloin. Dinner includes iced tea and coffee. An assortment of beer, wine and cocktails is available for an additional charge. There is an additional charge for dessert. Vegetarian, vegan and diabetic meals are available upon request. Gratuity is not included.
What kind of entertainment is provided on the dinner cruise?
On the lower deck, enjoy a mix of music from David Tyler, including classic beach music, rock, pop, ballads and country. On the middle deck, High Tide plays tops 40s, R&B, classic rock and country.
How long is the Harbor Tour?
The 90-minute tour takes guests on a leisurely cruise past the homes of Charleston's famous Battery, the Arthur Ravenel bridge, Waterfront Park, Patriots Point, Fort Sumter, Fort Moultrie and the Charleston seaport.
Are the boats and facilities handicap accessible?
There is limited handicap access at the Liberty Square boarding facility only for the Fort Sumter Tour. For the Charleston Harbor Tours, there is limited handicap access at the Aquarium Wharf boarding facility only.
Do you offer group rates?
Yes, group rates are available for the Harbor Tour and the Fort Sumter Tours. Group rates for the dinner cruise are available for parties of 15 or more.
What is the appropriate dress for a cruise or tour?
For the dinner cruise, dress onboard is “nice casual.” High heels are not recommended for any boat trips.
Are tours available year round?
The Charleston Harbor Tours are available March through November. Fort Sumter Tours are available all year. Dinner cruises run February through December.
